TCSB

Telaga Chipmill Sdn Bhd
On 19 December 2003, MIB and TCSB entered into a joint-venture wherein MIB shall solely supply Acacia Mangium pulp logs from its concession located in Pitas, Sabah, while TCSB shall build and operate a woodchip mill and subsequently sell the final product. In addition, MIB is also entitled to 30% of the net profit derived from the sale of wood chips.

The objective of the Wood Chip mill is primarily to produce first grade paper pulp wood chips for the pulp industries located in countries including but not limited to Japan. The plant will ensure that the wood chips in size and cutting characteristic suit the requirement of the international pulp industry, hence attracting foreign buyers looking for high quality wood chips and in general boost the region’s reputation as being one of the prime supplier for first grade wood chips.
